Umbria the green hearth of Italy

The Green Heart of Italy and Ancient Roman Walls

Umbria is located in the very center or heart of Italy.  Famous for its verdant green hills and valleys, Umbria is also affectionately known as the Green Heart of Italy.

Since the 19th century, Castello Monte Vibiano is the home of the Fasola Bologna Family.  Its cool, verdant, hilly landscape and limestone- and chalk-rich soil provides the perfect terrain for the centuries-old vineyard and olive orchard.

Here you will find Hortus Conclusus, the ancient wall the Romans built to protect the autochthonous vines of the Estate.

In the spirit of Hortus Conclusus, protector of the garden, we have tested all of our olive trees to be genetically certified Italian.
