Castello Monte Vibiano, the award-winning Umbrian “boutique” winery, world leader in the production of single-serving format of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in glass, called “Vibianino” and made exclusively from centuries-old trees, wanted to send an important signal of trust and territorial solidarity, investing in the creation of what can be defined as a masterpiece of craftsmanship: an absolutely limited edition of real works of art created to contain the precious “liquid gold” and make it even more special.

Ancient finds dating back to the Etruscan era, testify to the presence of a pot-bellied terracotta vase, the Orcio, made by hand for the conservation and transport of oil which, thanks to a particular type of clay (the Orcio), came into thus protected from the cold, ensuring perfect conservation.

For the faithful reproduction of this ancient vase, which today contains a very pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil derived from the Unique ancient native cultivar “Borgiona”, Castello Monte Vibiano wanted to enhance the activity of a small nucleus of Deruta artisans, entrusting it with the making this container for their precious oil. In addition to the precious content, their value is also given by the equally precious uniqueness of these creations which, precisely because they are handmade, are different from each other, bringing as a dowry to their lucky owners, the “magic” that allows to be able to boast the definition “unique piece”.

Intense fruity, herbaceous type, with hints of almond, artichoke, and green tomato leaf. Spicy notes of medium-high intensity; intense bitterness; herbaceous aftertaste of almond, artichoke, and tomato. On the palate it releases bitter and spicy at the same time and in an intense way; of extreme and very pleasant persistence, it is an oil with rare characteristics. Extremely small production of less than 100 bottles per year (when produced). A real artwork of unique hand-crafted pieces in an exclusive limited edition, which faithfully reproduces the ancient “terracotta” pot called “Orcio”, in which the Etruscans used to transport and store the Oil.
